羅馬書12章從神的憐憫開始，轉向身體參與的實際敬拜。更新的心思辨明忠實的行動，而不只模仿周圍習慣。隨後保羅討論恩賜、接待、忍耐和對敵人的回應。聖潔因此遠比一小組私人禁令廣泛，涉及消費、言語、工作、人際關係，以及群體如何對待缺少社會地位的人。

愛有道德內涵
哥林多前書13章在教會爭競的處境中，描繪忍耐、誠實、不自私的愛。愛不慶祝惡行，也不認可別人受傷害。加拉太書5章把自由與服事相連，點出破壞群體的行為。有愛的回應可能包括誠實勸戒、悔改、界限和保護。不能把饒恕誤當作掩蓋虐待，或讓不受問責的人重新接近弱者。

身體很重要
