明確基督教的出發點
我們的目的，是幫助人理解使徒行傳和保羅書信，考察歷史背景，並認識其中關於耶穌基督的見證。我們公開認信耶穌的死與復活，不以所謂宗教中立來隱藏信念。訪客不必先接受這份信仰，仍可以使用資料、提出問題，並考察解釋是怎樣形成的。

區分不同種類的主張
聖經文本的陳述、歷史重構、神學解釋和後期傳統，是不同類型的信息。我們標明這些區別，保留有意義的不確定性。碑文可以說明職稱或背景，卻未必證明敘事中的每件事。不同記載的吻合，既要檢查對應關係，也要考慮可能的資料依賴。清楚區分，使歷史論證更有用，也防止插圖冒充證據。
