明确基督教的出发点
我们的目的，是帮助人理解使徒行传和保罗书信，考察历史背景，并认识其中关于耶稣基督的见证。我们公开认信耶稣的死与复活，不以所谓宗教中立来隐藏信念。访客不必先接受这份信仰，仍可以使用资料、提出问题，并考察解释是怎样形成的。

区分不同种类的主张
圣经文本的陈述、历史重构、神学解释和后期传统，是不同类型的信息。我们标明这些区别，保留有意义的不确定性。碑文可以说明职称或背景，却未必证明叙事中的每件事。不同记载的吻合，既要检查对应关系，也要考虑可能的资料依赖。清楚区分，使历史论证更有用，也防止插图冒充证据。
