# Articles: threads that run the whole length

> Some things about Paul are invisible inside any single episode and only appear when the same thread is followed from one end of his life to the other.

**What changes in Paul across thirty years, and where can you see it?**

## What an article is here

The rest of this site is organised the way Paul’s life happened: a timeline, a map, thirteen journeys, thirteen letters. That structure answers questions about moments. It is much weaker at questions about spans — how someone changed, what stayed fixed, which habits survived every setback — because the evidence for those is scattered a few words at a time across decades and half a dozen letters.

An article gathers one of those threads and follows it in order. It quotes the passages it turns on rather than pointing at them, dates each one against the same chronology the rest of the site uses, and ends where the thread starts in the story, so a reader can pick it up and keep walking.

## How they are written

Articles are narrative, not neutral. They make a claim in the first paragraph and spend the rest of the page showing the reader the text it rests on. Where a thread depends on a letter whose authorship is genuinely contested, the article says so once, plainly, and shows what the thread looks like without it — the same uncertainty labels the letter guides carry, at the point where they change the reading.

Scripture on these pages is quoted from the World English Bible, a public-domain translation. Inside the story itself a reader can switch between several translations; here the text is fixed so that every quotation on the page can be freely copied, taught from, and checked.
